T RAJAGOPAL spent many years as a Corporate Senior Management Staff with Singapore Technologies Group for over 17 years leading and stewarding Global Supply Chain Management operations. He was also then the Deputy Chairman of the Group Materials Buying Group for Singapore Technologies Group. Later wanting to share such wealth of industry and corporate knowledge he complemented that vast exposure with over 8 years of academic stint. He developed and led a Global Supply Chain Management Module teaching and leading final year Polytechnic Students for this critical module.

He has taught and led many Supply Chain and related programs including Certification Programs regionally for the then Certified Purchasing Manager (USA) in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta apart from Singapore. He is the developer and owner of two Intellectual Property rights covering two important sustainability issues on revving up the ground and in reducing food waste through the application of digital information and demand forecasting.

He served as the Singapore Roundtable President of the Global Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (www.cscmp.org) for two terms from 1999 to 2004. In 2004 the first International Conference outside USA was held in Singapore where he was joint Chairman. The theme then was ` ASIA…where the Supply Chain begins’. He has also presented a paper in 1997 in Washington DC for the USA Institute of Supply Management (www.ism.ws) on the topic “Sourcing in South East Asia – A win-win Strategy’ attended by leading US MNCs Senior Procurement Managers. He was also in the Training and Development Committee Board for the Singapore Logistics Association in the early 2000.
