Synopsis:

Cybersecurity is essential in maintaining data privacy in any businesses in both private and public sectors. Cyber Security has grown in importance over the past few years with the ever rising emergence of digital data and the need to protect them from any intrusions

Data Safety has been described as the state of being safe the condition of being protected from harm or other non-desirable outcomes. Data Safety can also refer to the control of recognized hazards in order to achieve an acceptable level of risk. Cyber Security and data privacy is important as it is no longer a technological issue but a social one as well.

Program Description:

A hazard has been described as any agent that can cause harm or damage to humans, property or the environment.  There are different types of damage that cyber risk can cause. There is informational risk, where important data can be lost. Just as troublesome is operational risk, where cybercrime can damage the running of a business. Additionally, concepts like reputational and financial risk arise from the others but are separate in themselves.
